Mesmerized I watched her fussing around in her litter box. She was like a golfer landscaping in a sandtrap. Her intensity was something to see.

Dismayed I saw her exit said litter box. Take three steps. Circle and enter again.

She must’ve liked that spot.

She did her business and shook off the litter with a hind leg. To my additional dismay, she failed to cover her tracks.

The other cat, as if signaled, followed her in.

She did her due in quick order. Smelled it. Covered it and walked away.

Oh it seems the dog was watching too.

He ate what he could from the litter box.

And I promised not to tell anyone.
